We specialize in long term placement of frail elderly. Once a resident is placed in our home it is our hope that they remain with us as their care changes and needs increase. Our home has been operating for 15 years and our current care team has been with us for 13years. Our staff is trained to care for residents with a wide variety of needs; strokes, Parkinson’s, dementia’s, short term and long term memory loss, rehabilitation, fractures, hospice, special diets, social isolation, depression etc. A number of our geriatric residents believed they wanted to stay in their own homes, when in fact these desires are what caused and added to their isolation, depression, illnesses and injuries. After coming to our home and integrating into our family setting residents’ spirits, conditions and overall well being improve. We have two staff during the daytime to help provide everyone with optimal care including; daily showers, home cooked meals, medication administration, therapy follow up, nail care, incontinence management, and preventative care. A significant amount of thought is put into monitoring and preventing illnesses at Private Nursing Care Inc. Staffing is trained to monitor for any changes in residents that could indicate the start of illness such as; changes in bladder, bowels, skin tone, breath sounds, coughing, fever, diet, sleep patterns, and alertness. Many conditions can be prevented by proper nutrition, hydration, physical activity, socialization and assistance with daily care tasks. As the registered nurse for our home, I coordinate all care for our residents and provide nurse delegation for the staff. In addition to monitoring and visiting the residents, I also provide activity to the home by bringing my year old son and dogs with me to work. My children and pets develop a wonderful relationship with the residents. Nursing is on call 24/7 for the home. We are located 10 minutes off I-90 in Issaquah. The home offers a park like setting on a manicured 1.5 acres. There is ample parking and privacy off the street for families and residents.
