    Our goal at The Courtyard at Colfax, is to provide an environment where each resident feels he/she is at home. Our top notch nursing staff is knowledgeable in the condition and needs of each resident and is able to act on changes of condition immediately. Our trained chef provides delicious, nutritious and plentiful meals. He oversees the delivery and content of each meal being certain to follow special dietary needs and variety. The daily events available to our residents keep them active in mind, body and spirit. Our exercise program maintains residents flexibility, mobility and strength. We are centrally located in Colfax within walking distance of the Post Office, pharmacy, shops, churches, restaurants and library. Our location is just one mile from the doctor's office and hospital which provides us excellent access to the doctor's in this area. It is also a benefit to our residents to be able to choose from two local medical supply companies who provide personalized care for each resident which could only be provided in a small community such as ours. It is our pleasure to serve the elderly residents of the Palouse and surrounding areas. We are certain you will find our community "a wonderful place to live."

    Eligibility requirements:
    Residents must able to walk independently or with a cane or walker. A resident must be able to bear weight and stand to transfer self from chair to bed, to toilet or into an automobile. Staff is available to assist but the staff is not permitted to lift residents nor do we furnsih any equipment for this purpose.

    Our staff consists of an RN, LPN's, CNA's and NAR's who have taken the state requirements of Fundamentals of Caregiving, or Modified Fundamentals, First Aid/CPR, Mental Health, Dementia training and Nurse delegation. Each staff member completes 10 or more hours of ongoing training each year.
