    Highlights
COMPREHENSIVE. Memorial’s Family of Services offers Central Washington’s only comprehensive rehabilitation program that is completely customized to the patient’s individual therapy needs. A trained, integrated medical team guides patients to achieve their maximum physical function in progressively independent, patient-focused environments. Memorial provides patients with a holistic approach to rehabilitative health care. Patients receive nurturing and convenient services to help them recover and renew following surgery, illness or an accident. From short-stay in-patient care to home care and independent follow-up rehabilitation, patients benefit from the best medical team, technology and equipment available. As part of Memorial’s rehabilitation program, patients are treated by the same team of physicians and medical experts throughout their entire rehabilitation program, from sub acute care at Garden Village to Memorials’ Home Care Service and finally to out-patient rehabilitation at 16th Avenue Station. PROGRAM Rehabilitation In-patient Rehabilitation at Garden Village HEALING. There was a time when patients who required rehabilitation services following surgery, an accident or stroke had only one options—a rehabilitation hospital. Today, experts realize that many people can regain their strength, mobility, and independence in a less intensive setting. Sub acute care provides in-patient medical rehabilitation designed for patients who no longer require hospitalization, but who still require continued medical management. Patients receive services at the therapy rehabilitation center at Garden Village, where they benefit from a beautiful, new therapy gym and therapy sessions tailored to their individual needs and pace. Pain management specialists, an on-staff rehabilitation medicine physician, and the comfort and convenience of in-patient care, provide transitioning patients 24-hour nursing supervision while they prepare to return home. The rehabilitation team at Garden Village provides rehabilitation services to more than 360 patients every year, with 90% of rehabilitation patients returning home, and 5% moving to assisted living facilities. The average length-of-stay for rehabilitation center patients is three weeks.
