"The finest address for waterfront retirement living" can be yours at Londonderry Retirement Community of Easton. Located on the shores of the beautifully serene Tred Avon River, our residents enjoy a carefree way of life, inspired from traditional Eastern Shore living. Londonderry's picturesque country setting is located in historic Easton, Maryland, where you will find a wealth of attractions and activities such as art galleries, antique shops and diverse cultural events. It's just a short drive to the quaint villages of Oxford and St. Michaels, renowned sailing, fine restaurants, museums and exceptional boutique shopping. Founded in 1989, Londonderry was the first cooperative independent living retirement community on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Growing in size from an original 15 individual cottages and 17 residents, this not-for-profit community is now home to 88 cottages, 26 apartments and 141 residents. Forty-one new cottages are now under construction (and reservations are being taken) to complete the community for a total of 152 homes. Located on the original tract of land granted in 1667 to citizens from Ireland seeking independence and the freedom of choice, Londonderry remains dedicated to those ideals today.
