Located just 15 minutes north of Grand Rapids MI in Rockford, Bishop Hills has established a tradition of community involvements and purpose filled activities including a US Navy support project to deployed ships, reading program to local elementary students, befriending nursing home residents and staff in Dominican Republic and safe water in Ghana. Life Enrichment programs are designed to encourage learning, sharing of knowledge and finding new talents. This is not a church affiliated home but does have a spiritual foundation that values prayer before meals, Sunday service, holding remembrance service when a resident dies and being accepting of a variety of faiths. Bishop Hills has had perfect scores on state surveys in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Bishop Hills won the Governors Quality Care Award in 2002. Bishop Hills received the Rockford MI Chamber of Commerce Service Award. Our resident age range is generally 85-100+. 20% are usually at the higher level of care.
