    Respite Stays: To support caregivers, Huron Woods offers respite stays for persons with mild, moderate and advanced dementia. Huron Woods is a licensed home for the aged for persons with dementia located on the campus of St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Hospital. Loved ones are cared for in a home-like setting with family-like care by a team of highly qualified staff.

    Respite stays include:
    • Furnished resident room with private attached bath.
    • 3 home-cooked meals and snacks daily
    • Participation in life enrichment activities and excursions
    • Assistance with activities of daily living and personal care
    • Medication administration
    • 24-hour nursing oversight
    • Personal laundry
    • Access to beauty shop services
    • Respite stays are typically 7-10 days, however extended stays are also available
    Conditions I Am Unable To Treat
    All residents must have a diagnosis of dementia.

    Unable to accept persons in need of skilled care:
    • medically unstable,
    • feeding tube,
    • oxygen must be PRN (as needed.)

    The AHCA/NCAL Quality Award is modeled after criteria from the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, the nation's premier recognition for quality achievement. The Bronze award recognizes that the center has made a commitment to continuous quality and performance improvement. Once achieved, the designation is permanent.
