Our assisted living is privately owned and operated which gives a unique flavor. The owners are actively involved with the residents and staff and are attuned to new ideas which will promote the happiness and satisfaction of the residents and the staff. The Christian atmosphere is maintained that has as its goal to "treat everyone as you would like to be treated." Our emphasis is to promote the idependence of our residents and to help them to maintain their involvement in the larger community. Also, we aim to have the residents involved in community service actiivites to promote their sense of well-being and usefulness. All of our meals are served restaurant style with two main options at each meal as well as other options to please everyone's palate. The beautiful wooded grounds with large pond add to the ambience of the facility. There are many walking areas for one to enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings. We provide services which allow a person to stay in their own "home" for their life span unless they should need 24 hour skilled nursing monitoring. Activities are planned for morning, afternoon, and evening. Special acitivities are planned with off-site outings--Holland tulip festival; Grand Rapids Meijer Gardens, zoo, art gallerieis, concerts. In addition many family activities are planned. Several activities include interactions with local school children. We were recognized in the USA Weekend for our Make a Difference Day Activities. Other awards received include the Govenors Award from the State of Michigan.
