    Staff certifications and training:
    Each resident has a high consistency of care as a result of Maplewood's low employee turnover. Most of our staff has been with Maplewood AFC for over 5 years. Some previous staff have obtained their nursing education and license while with Maplewood AFC. Our staff are all certified in first aid and CPR.

    Maplewood AFC cares for all stages of patient's with Alzheimer's disease. Maplewood AFC works with Hospice to provide end of life care.
    Special care programs offered for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents:
    Maplewood AFC is a facility serving up to 10 residents in a family environment. Our staff knows the idiosyncrasies of each resident. Therefore, we are able to provide a consistent care in accordance with the care plan established by the physician, family, and facility.

    Music activities, games, entertainment, and therapy sessions are provided at least twice each week. Our residents are encouraged to remain mentally and physically active according to each resident's abilities. Fitness classes held weekly. Religious services are provided by volunteer clergy. A visiting beautician provides services bi-weekly. Podiatry services are offered as needed.
