Whispering Ridge is located on two and a half acres in a country setting, seven miles south of Grand Haven.the home sets eight hundred feet from the road in a wooded area.the home is handicap asseable, walk in showeroom and full bathrooms. My staff and i have experience with many types of disibilities, mental and phsical requring minimal to full care. We believe our residents need love, encouragement and genuine interaction between staff and other residents. we give our resident s respect and ensue their diginity and privacy. Excelent care is held at a high standard, we have excelent refrences .I do not have a nurse on staff , i find they usually have limitted experience. I would rather work with the residents doctor, In Home Care and hospice with their wide range of experience and care. We also have good communication with the families to ensue that we give the best care possible. there is an apartment attached to the home with alarms for the doors and rooms in the apartment . the night staff sleep here.I provide transportation to and from the doctor for a minimal fee. activites are geared to the abilities of the resident..

I do not believe all alzheimer and dementia patients should be put in seperate housing units. It causes more acting out and the unit is always in conflict causing a domino affect.I base this on my thirty years of supervising this type of patient.usuallly there is acalming effect when mixed in with the general population.
