    The Homestead Place is located just outside of Benson, Minnesota, in a rural, bucolic setting. This is a "family-style" residential service established in a renovated family home. Staff is awake and on-site 24 hours a day. Meals are prepared from scratch, and can be prepared to meet physician-ordered dietary requirements.

    Staff certifications and training:
    Homestead Place staff are trained on the job by the site's Registered Nurse, Program Director/LPN, Site Coordinator, and other trained staff. Staff must complete a minimum of 24 hours on the job training before working alone. Staff receive a minimum of 12 hours continuing education each year. Continuing education is offered in areas such as infection control, dietary, oral hygiene, and many other areas specific to client needs.
