Meeting the special needs of residents with dementia begins with our philosophy of maintaining a resident’s dignity and respect and encouraging the highest level of independence. To accomplish this, we base our foundation of care giving on our Emerald Crest Cognitive Care Program. Using the The Allen Cognitive Level assessments and the Cognitive Performance Test ã, site Occupational Therapists are able to identify each resident’s respective functional and cognitive abilities and deficits. Once obtained each resident is then accurately placed within our Cognitive Care Program. . Our physical environment at Emerald Crest is also key to providing premier assisted living and memory care services. We design our single story barrier-free homes to accommodate no more than 12-15 private suites. We believe our quaint home-like environment encourages resident socialization while allowing for personalized and attentive care.
