    Highlights
The Baptist Home offers the basic amenities any nursing Home/ Long Term Care Facility in the State of North Dakota provides. We are blessed to have a Chaplain, Beautician, & a Musician on Staff available when needed for the residents. Activities are individualized as well as done in groups on a daily basis ranging from outings to evening Bingo. The Baptist Home also provides Occupational and Restorative Therapy Services for all our residents. These programs are offered in the hope that we can help physically maintain if not improve the residents stamina, range of motion, and other physical attributes. If achieved, the resident can maintain their current level of independence or become more independent. In some cases, a resident may even improve enough physically where they may no longer need their current level of care. When this happens, they may move to a more independent living arrangement and of course their moral is significantly higher. In a rare case, even going back home could be an option. The Home offers a full range of living quarters to better suit a variety of community needs. The Home has Efficiency Apartments on the grounds where many people start out. When they cannot live alone and need more assistance, they are the first to be offered a Basic Care Room when available. When their care deems necessary, the Basic Care residents are the first to be offered a Skilled Nursing Bed when available. When required, the resident will be the first to be offered a bed in the Alzheimer's/ Dementia Wing of the facility. This setup offers a quick, easy, and low impact change to the resident during times of transition that can be stressful to the resident as well as the family. The Facility is located in a residential area of Bismarck, just off a major thoroughfare and only blocks from two major regional medical campuses. Parks, Shopping, State Capital Grounds, and Medical facilities are only minutes away. This setting gives the residents a sense of community as well as activity options for the family when visiting. The Baptist Home has been a mainstay in the community for elderly care for almost 60 years. In that time, the Home's philosophy for caring for the soul as well as the physical body no matter what background an individual comes from has endured the test of time. The Baptist Home will continue to improve, stay current with healthcare standards and training, as well as continue to accept anyone whom needs the care that we can provide them.
