Sunapee Cove is situated on the shores of one of New Hampshire's premier lakes. All common areas and many apartments are waterside. The Marina is a 5 minute walk from the front portico and the property fronts two beautiful creeks that feed the lake. There is a clear view of Mount Sunapee several miles away across the water and Sunapee Cove is also adjacent to the small, but lovely Town Beach where picnics are held for residents during summer months. Sunapee Cove is family friendly and it is our policy to partner with family members who are welcome at any time to join us for meals or to prepare private dinners with residents in any one of five full kitchen lounges with lakeside balconies. It is a quiet area with a bustling college town just 5 miles away and a full service hospital in the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center system with medical practices minutes from there. With the assistance of the Visiting Nurse Association Sunapee Cove provides many levels of care for a wide range of conditions and, for our residents and families, hospice care as well. Residents at Sunapee Cove sing, dance, shop, play bingo as much as possible, and enjoy as much activity as conditions permit. We have many couples and offer 6 spacious two bedroom apartments on the lake, though some couples find a one bedroom apartment suits as well. Sunapee Cove is very Veteran friendly and we are located near the VA Hospital and Medical center in White River, VT. That facility provides our Veterans transportation to and from Sunapee Cove and our nursing staff handles medication orders and reorders with the VA. Those receiving VA benefits are not required to use our pharmacy service. We've never met a veteran we haven't felt privileged to have living at 'The Cove.'
