    Westwind House is an Assisted Living Community located on Albuquerque’s West Mesa. Westwind House is one level with forty (40) apartment units surrounding a secure courtyard. Each apartment has a kitchenette with a microwave, apartment sized refrigerator and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The forty (40) studio and one bedroom units are equipped with emergency call buttons. Our community is handicapped accessible and is designed to meet the needs of the elderly and frail elderly. Occasionally, mature adults who are younger than 55 years of age are accepted as residents. Residents, 54 years of age and younger, must be compatible with other residents of the community and be in need of assistance with a minimum of one activity of daily living. Activities are scheduled on a regular basis. A minority of residents live at Westwind House for safety and security or are no longer able to live independently and require no assistance with activities of daily living. The majority of our residents need assistance with a portion of or all activities of daily living. Monthly rates for assisted living include rental of the apartment and a full range of care and services that an individual would need to remain as healthy and safe as possible. Residents requiring therapeutic care and other care or services not provided by Westwind House staff contract directly with appropriate providers.
