At Bergquist Memorial, loving and compassionate staff members daily provide a variety of services to thirty-two residents who are committed to maintaining or improving the quality of life for each resident. Assistance ranges from light housekeeping and help with medications, to three fully-prepared meals each day. In addition, an extensive calendar of activities is always filled with social programs and weekly outings. Residents enjoy the on-campus library and computer center, beauty parlor/barber shop, Campus Cozy gift shop, Grapevine coffee shop, and more. Bergquist is situated on the 100-acre Heritage Village campus, allowing residents the opportunity to enjoy a picturesque, country landscape. Apartments feature a private room with a full bathroom, and are furnished with a bed, recliner, dresser, and nightstand. Through the common areas, Bergquist residents have access to outdoor balconies, perfect for relaxing outside their apartments during the summer evenings. In addition to comfortable living arrangements, residents at Bergquist Memorial also enjoy courtesy transportation to several locations throughout the local area. This includes a brand-new wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus, made possible by a member initiative grant from New York State Senator Catharine Young and individual donors. Shuttle service is available to banks, shopping centers, grocery stores, and doctor appointments. One of the best features about residing at Bergquist Memorial is that residents enjoy the peace of mind that comes with living within The Heritage Group full continuum of care. Residents are afforded priority admission to any of the three rehab & skilled nursing facilities managed by the organization (Heritage Village, Heritage Green and Heritage Park). Bergquist residents can rest assured that their future needs will be met. Bergquist Memorial is truly an environment dedicated to providing seniors with an active, rewarding lifestyle. Residents are always encouraged to maintain their independence, but offered assistance in areas of need.
