    Today, Spring Meadows Extended Care Facility is Spring Meadows Senior Community. And, although the name has changed, our commitment to service remains the same. Spring Meadows is not just another business, it is a home for 138 residents and their family members. We are counted on every day to deliver the ideal homelike atmosphere for each and every residents under our care.     Staff members are selected based on education, licensure and/or certification requirements. Once employed, staff participate in and attain the requirements necessary to remain current with his/her licensure or certification requirements. At a minimum, Spring Meadows Extended Care Facility conducts monthly continuing education programs.

    Staff certifications and training:
    Staff nurses are licensed by the State of Ohio as either a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Direct care providers are state tested and appear on the registry for State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA). All staff has training in basic First Aid, Emergency Readiness, the Fundamentals of Aging. Additional training is completed on a monthly basis and is related to the needs of the current residents residing in the facility.

    If a resident has extreme confusion to a point that he/she poses a risk to themselve or to others, we would, with the family's consent, transfer the resident to a room in Spring Meadows Extended Care Facility. Spring Meadows is attached to The Astor House for Assisted Living. Staff there have more advanced training and care for approimately 8 residents.
