Diminished abilities or stage of disease that would result in a transfer or discharge:
We rarely discharge, but work with local agencies & hospitals to stabalize pur resdents. We hav a "Comfort Oriented" philosophy that focuses on quality of life. We do a lot of hospice care. Discharges are usually suggested if a family chooses aggressive curative care (feeding tubes, IV's or ventilators). We rarely discharge residents who are severe exit seekers (going out windows, hopping over the fence, etc)
Special care programs offered for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents:
We are part of the DSHS program for Specialty Dementia care. We only care for those with memory impairment (other co-illnesses are treated as well).
