    Special care programs offered for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents:
    Reminiscence Therapy to remember and talk about the past. Validation Therapy by giving value to or approving, and making no attempt to reorient the client to actual cirscumstances. Reality Orientation by using calendars, clocks and signs to reorient residents, aid in remembering who and where they are and stay in touch with the world around them- in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. Activity Therapy to prevent boredom and promote self-esteem (e.g., taking garden walks, bingo, dominoes, or card games, Karaoke sing-along, Arts/crafts work, piano music, personalized exercises, etc.
