    Irvine Cottages is dedicated to providing compassionate and loving care to all of our residents. We specialize in the following: Dementia/Alzheimer's disease (Cognitive Impairments), Parkingsons disease, Diabetes/Nephrology, Hospice Care, Psychiatric/Behavior Modification Program, Partial Psychiatric Day Program Contract. We are an approved Alzheimer's Association of orange County training site, we have a comprehensive Activity Program consisting of Music Therapy, Art therapy, birthday celebrations, outings, exercise and weight program, pet therapy, daily walks to the park, music corner, karaoke daily, aromatherapy, all caregivers received "Alzheimer's/Dementia" activity month, full time psyche nurse, full time nurse administrator, full time medical directors, approved camera pilot program, all of our staff are trained by the Alzheimer's Association, Care plans sent out to families every month, geriatric assessment performed priot to admission. Our homes have the following: security System, 24 hour camera recording, camera monitoring, birhgt parabolic lighting, each home is close to a park, bidet toilets to prevent U.T.I's and infections, living air machines for quality air, locked garages, external door exits from rooms, fire safety training, personal/fall safety alarm. Our decor consists of muted colors, contrasted doors, non-glare glass on pictures, aroma diffusers, walking path at park, memory boards, wood padded floors and no large mirrors or pools. Irvine Cottages is a member of the following boards: Alzheimer's Association of Orange County, South County senior services, meals on Wheels, The salvation Army, Womansage and the National Parkingson's Foundation. Each home has a minimum of 2-3 caregivers. For better transition and adjustment, we provide a "one-on-one" caregiver for your loved one for the first 3 days. Our hope is that every resident has a smooth transition to our home.
