For 23 years Maureen Guest Homes provide quality assisted living and care for adults 60 years of age and older, especially those with memory loss disorders, Parkinson’s, heart, after-stroke, and any others in need of help in daily living. It is an ideal alternative to premature nursing home placement for only a fraction of their cost. Residents are matched according to the severity of their symptoms, all stages are welcome. We offer four stimulating and nurturing environments designed to help our guests enjoy the company of others in familiar, residential surroundings. Our goal is to provide a comfortable setting where dignity is preserved and stress is minimized. To this end, we support our residents and their physicians’ efforts to minimize the need for medications. Our month-to-month fees are very reasonable. There is no long-term contract to sign, and no move-in, or processing fees. Our four residential facilities are situated in established residential neighborhoods of Orange County. While many improvements have been made to increase safety and accessibility, the character of each home blends with its community. Interiors are homey, intended to create a sense of familiarity and well-being. All rooms are kept clean and fresh smelling. Indoor and outdoor activities are year-round. Our resident caregivers prepare three delicious, nutritionally balanced meals each day. Scratch cooking is the rule, and menus include a healthy variety of fresh ingredients. Snacks, cold drinks and fruits are always available. Special attention is given to dietary needs and preferences of each resident. Dining areas are attractive and comfortable. Mealtime assistance is always available. Our facility physician does regular check-ups and is always available in case of emergency. The podiatrist and hairdresser make regular house visits. Nurses and therapists are just phone call away. Local transportation is available for resident’s appointments.
