    Emeritus at Brookhurst is a beautiful three story Tudor style building located on Brookhurst Street one block north of McFadden. Is it situated about 20 minutes from the beach and convenient to both the 405 and 22 freeways. It is within walking distance to both shops and restaurants. The community is designed around a center courtyard with an attractive Koi pond. The range of care and services offered is designed for both the Independent senior as well as those with more complex needs. The residents are really able to feel at home with the many spacious floor plans available. Meals are served restaurant style in our large main dining room with snacks available all day. Our Emeritus Neighborhood has programs and activities that are designed specifically for those residents with diagnosed Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.     The B.E.S.T. (Bonding, Environment, and Social & Therapeutic) program is made up of specially trained staff members who are carefully selected and who work closely with the resident, family and physicians to create a personalized environment and care program. Our goal is to provide a routine allowing our residents to enjoy choice, control, and independence. Staff members are trained in the latest Alzheimer's/Dementia care techniques to benefit our residents and help promote employee retention, thereby maintaining consistency and familiarity for our residents.
