A Brand New Day is the premier care home for the elderly in Shasta County. We specialize in meeting the needs of residents with mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s, dementia and/or physical frailties. Each resident has their own enrichment program designed by Dr. Arlen Burger based on in-depth research of their history and current needs. We encourage family involvement with activities, events, care plans and participation in decisions with their loved one’s needs. We are a 26 bed facility – small enough to provide a home-like atmosphere, yet large enough to offer great amenities and high ratio of well-trained and dedicated staff. We have an outstanding reputation within the greater Shasta County for excellence in long term care as well as temporary respite care. We offer transitional memory care by having two buildings on site where residents live according to care, needs and social integration. We have a full time Activities Coordinator who provides both physically and mentally stimulating activities for our residents in both group and one-on-one environments. We offer private and shared suites in each of our two care homes. We are located on a quiet low-traffic destination street. Our outside courtyard accommodates our residents with the space to exercise, enjoy sunshine, gardening, activities and relaxation.
