Walking out of doors is possible with our paved path around the building to view the mountains and hillside. Plenty of wildlife to watch here, including deer in the yard to many migratory birds. John Day area has a state of the art hospital with a medical clinic in town that has visiting specialist with access to other medical facilities in Boise, Idaho or Bend, Oregon. Our caring staff are ready to welcome you home.

    Prior to working with Residents one on one our staff attend orientation that includes; Policies and procedures that follow Oregon State Rules and Regulations. Care Plan training specific to each Resident Training to provide Activity of Daily Living Food Handlers Certificate Safety and Emergency Preparedness Dietary and Housekeeping Standards CPR and First Aid Course Monthly Staff Training also provided for Staff Quarterly monitoring of Skills Ability Yearly update of Skills Class for all Caregivers Memory Care Classes upon hire and annually Each newly hired Staff Member works with the Buddy System where they shadow other staff and are assigned a mentor to work with prior to working independently with Residents.
