Experiencing the changes in a loved one who has Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia can be difficult. Finding a special place your loved one can call home shouldn’t be. Placing a loved one is an important decision which requires careful consideration. Let us show you some of the reasons why you will want your loved one to call Ashley Manor home. The Comforts of Home Each one-story, family-style home is nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood and boasts well-designed floor plans including a kitchen, living room and dining areas. These beautifully decorated common areas are the center of activity and encourage residents to socialize. Fully furnished private and shared suites with adjoining private half bathrooms are arranged around the outer perimeter of the home to create a sense of privacy. A security system and fully enclosed backyard enable residents to safely enjoy their home, inside and out. The Feeling of Family A warm, family environment is felt in each of our homes. Each home accommodates 8-15 residents, allowing for high staff-to-resident ratios. This means your loved one receives more individualized care than the typical health care facility. We take pride in our staff, who are experienced caregivers and well-trained in the special needs related to dementia, including behavioral and communication issues. You can rest easy knowing that 24-hour on-call nursing is available, and that staff is awake and alert at all hours. At Ashley Manor, our staff treats all residents with dignity, respect and kindness. A Meaningful Way of Life Resident quality of life is a primary goal in our homes. Staff is dedicated to helping each resident achieve and maintain the highest level of independence and involvement within the home by focusing on current strengths, abilities and interests. To ensure the best possible care, a detailed assessment and care plan are completed in partnership with the family. Specific activities, including aroma, music, reminiscence, massage and pet therapies, keep us current with the latest trends in dementia care. Residents feel important and valued through encouragement to participate in household activities like setting the table and folding laundry. Daily activities vary according to resident interests and often include games, current events, baking and gardening. Contact us for more information or to tour one of our beautiful homes today. Let us become a part of your family.
