    Birchwood Suites Assisted Living Community sits on 5 beautifully landscaped acres and was once the estate to the Vice President of Texaco Oil. We offer physical and occupational therapy on site for residents that have a need. Our trained staff is committed to the physical, psychological and social needs of each resident. Lavender Gardens, our secure Alzheimer's/Dementia unit, offers a safe and nurturing environment with quality care. Comfortable accommodations and home cooked meals await you at our country like home. Our all-inclusive rates avoid unexpected monthly charges. Birchwood Suites also offers an Adult Day Care Program and Respite Care.

    Eligibility requirements:
    Birchwood Suites requires one month rent and one month security upon admission. The security deposit is refundable within 30 days of discharge. Our wellness nurse will visit each potential resident to perform an assessment. The purpose of this assessment is to ensure that each individual is suitable for our assisted living community. Residents are also assessed by our Case Manager, Director of Resident Services and Physical Therapy. The charge for this assessment process is $1,500.00 and non refundable.

    All unlicensed staff is Certified Home Health Aides with current certificates on file. Monthly in-service education is scheduled on-site, to ensure that all employees maintain the appropriate number of continuing education credits necessary for certification.

    Special care programs offered for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents:
    Recreational activities specific to our dementia population. Occupational therapists visit Lavender Gardens to work with our dementia residents. In addition, psychologists visit the unit to work one on one with our residents.
