    Woodhaven Adult Home is a 181-bed licensed Adult Home located in Port Jefferson Station. There is a skilled nursing facility on the property. We are located a block away from a shopping center. Woodhaven Adult Home has been serving the needs of adults for over 3 decades. We provide meals, housekeeping, case management, laundry/linen service, social activities, personal care, supervision with medications and 24-hour supervision. Providers of Primary Medical Care, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Psychology, Physical Therapy, and Visiting Nursing Services see residents on-site. The Suffolk County Office for the Aging has a program that provides payment for short-term RESPITE at Woodhaven Adult Home. Eligible participants may receive up to 7 days of respite care per calendar year paid for by Suffolk County Office of the Aging. Days of care can be broken up or used for one stay. The ALP is an Adult Home program that is certified by NYSDOH to provide Medicaid-funded home care services. The ALP is an alternative to nursing home care that enables nursing home eligible people to receive home health services in the Adult Home. The ALP provides a 24-hour-a-day service program with RN oversight, in addition to the services of the Adult Home. These services can include: Personal Care and Home Health Aide Services, Incontinence Care, Home Exercise Program, Skilled Nursing Services such as Insulin and Eye-Drop Administration, Supplying of Briefs and Incontinent Care Products, and Dietician consults.

    Staff certifications and training:
    Personal Care Aides are required to have a minium of 40 hours training. Staff receives First Aide training regular basis. Monthly inservices are also required of staff. We also have licensed RN's, LPN's, and HHA's on staff.
