    Anam Care is a group home, small and intimate with extensive family involvement. We specialize in challenging behaviors related to dementia and coordinate care with geriatric psychology and counseling. We have 24 bedrooms that family members may decorate to their liking. Our staff in encouraged to have fun with our community members, however, our activity program is structured to attend to the needs of individual. We are small and intimate with quality care.

    Staff certifications and training:
    all staff must complete 16 hours of specific dementia training, followed by 7 -10 days of a shadow program and mentorship by senior staff. Retraining must occur for a min. of 4 hours quarterly on various speciality care dementia topics.

    Exercise is designed for the dementia population. Sensory stimulation, music, art, and spiritual care programs are scheduled daily. Dietary program contains whole fresh foods to enhance appetite. The building is designed for those who wander or pace when sundown behaviors surface.
