    Memory Care
    Sunrise Senior Living's Alzheimer's & Memory Care Program is focused firmly on understanding each individual and providing care they respond to positively. Designed to accommodate the unique needs of people with Alzheimer's disease and other memory impairments, our Reminiscence Neighborhoods provide a safe and stimulating environment for individuals to enjoy esteem-building activities. Our team is trained to value each senior and to recognize the different tastes, preferences and needs at each stage of their lives. Sunrise has created a care option that works - innovative and effective programs with multiple levels of support.
    About My Services
    For individuals with mild to moderate memory loss, the Terrace Club program offers activities to engage and stimulate which reserach has shown to aid the memory. The diet served consists of foods rich in folic acid, b-vitamins and anti-oxidants that research has also shown to aid the memory. Encouraging independence is a hallmark of the Terrace Club lead by a dedicated team of care partners. Individuals are met with at their homes prior to becoming a resident in order to learn about preferences, history and needs and develop an individualized care plan that will help them thrive and be successful.

    The community cares for individuals with varied degrees of memory loss throughout hospice care.
    Experience And Credentials
    The professional team at Sunrise of Wilmette has been specifically trained in working with individuals with memory loss. New Team members work under the guidance of an experienced coach before working directly with residents to learn about the dining experience, communication skills, engagement and creating moments of joy.
