Anchin Pavilion, located on 29 beautiful acres, is a not for profit, non-exclusionary assisted living community. Anchin has, as its core, a deep desire and intent to provide a special living environment for seniors who require assistance. The mission of Anchin Pavilion is to enable each resident to live his or her life to the fullest by being as independent as possible and by maintaining each resident’s highest level of health and function. In addition to the comforts of home and the active lifestyle available in a supportive environment, the heart of the assisted living program assures residents and their families that a trained, professional staff will always be close by to provide the care they need. The 102 spacious studio and one-bedroom apartments each provide a kitchenette and private bathrooms with walk in showers. Other amenities offered are housekeeping services, personalized laundry, transportation, hair salon, 24-hour security, utilities, and a quick response emergency call system. Gourmet meals prepared by an executive chef are served to the resident’s in a gracious dining room. Activities are plentiful such as art and beading workshops, a knitting group, music, exercise classes, bingo, shopping trips, and outings to local restaurants and events are just a few of the many creative activities provided. An individual program of care and wellness is designed for each resident depending on the level of assistance needed. Assistance with dressing, bathing, ambulation, personal grooming, and 24 hour licensed nursing supervision, and medication management are some of the helpful services available. With Anchin’s Extended Congregate Care license, residents can remain longer, aging in place with dignity and added peace of mind. Within Anchin’s assisted living residence is the Fanny Green Memory Support Wing. The Memory Support Wing is dedicated to the special needs of those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and related dementia. Whether in the Memory Support Wing or the assisted living community, Anchin Pavilion is truly a special place. This is a must see community located next to the Meadows between 17th St and University Parkway at 1959 North Honore Avenue.
