As you approach the front of our property, you will be surprised at the beauty of the garden atmosphere. Beautiful plants and a gazebo will welcome you to our residential facility. You may walk through the garden and enter our home through the front door, where you will be welcomed by staff and residents. You will be surrounded by an atmosphere which many of our visitors have compared to a bed and breakfast. You may visit in the living room with your family member, or visit with them in their room. You may also choose to visit with them on the Florida room in the back of the house. We have a large and attractive Florida room, under air and enclosed with vinyl windows, overlooking a tranquil back yard with a canopy of oak and other trees. This patio is where we conduct our activities, and also host several special parties. We participate in crafts every day, with a different theme each week. Three times per week the residents can enjoy exercising to music. We have a special musical event every second Thursday of each month, when a keyboard specialist comes to play the old songs for our residents. They sing along and sometimes dance to the music with much enjoyment. We serve three meals per day, which are freshly prepared with a dietician’s specifications. The residents are served at two attractive round tables with floor length tablecloths and an overlay of lace to create an elegant atmosphere. The radio is softly playing the old songs that the residents love to hear. We serve healthy, but tasty food. Some of our menus consist of freshly made pasta dishes, fish, chicken and vegetables made to please the most discretionary tastes. Some residents still enjoy cooking, and once in awhile they enjoy sharing their skills in cooking by preparing some of their special dishes for us. We often invite friends and family members to join us for dinner and other activities. Located in a quiet neighborhood, our facility is close to two major highways which lead to grocery stores, banks, pharmacies and other shopping areas. Also there are a wide variety of churches which are easily accessible from our home. We do not discriminate against any religion and our residents are free to practice whatever religion they are comfortable with. Ridgewood Avenue is located east of our facility and Nova Road is located towards the west. There is a public golf course at the end of our street with a restaurant. The Halifax River is east of us, and we sometimes arrange a trip to visit the park alongside the river. Shopping trips are planned as needed. The residents can obtain necessary items, including amenities such as hair appointments and visits to the doctor. Even an occasional garage sale can bring much enjoyment. The residents feel as if they were at home with our facility. Friends and family are encouraged to visit anytime, and are invited to join in our activities. We welcome people from all walks of life. We like to consider ourselves one big happy family.
