The uniqueness of our home is the smallness. We cater to only eight residents. Our focus is on quality, not quantity. We strive to NOT be an institution, and to truly be a home where residents thrive. The individualized resident care is RN managed, and there is a physician, podiatrist, and a pharmacist on call. The fully licensed facility is located within 15 minutes of 3 area hospitals. The historical house offers a family atmosphere with home cooked meal, a clean environment, and a quiet country setting with flower gardens and bird feeders. Plain and simple, but so GOOD! We offer free tours by appointment.

Diminished abilities or stage of disease that would result in a transfer or discharge:
Our facility is an open facility. Resident's are assessed on an individual basis to determine if their needs can be met. Reasons for discharge would be related to safety issues for the resident. For example - the doors are not locked, nor alarmed, so a resident who wanders outside would not be safe and would need to be transferred to a more secure setting. Another example would be a resident who exhibited aggressive or combative behavior, again arrangements would be made to transfer to a more suitable facility, before any injuries to that resident, other residents or staff occur. s
Special care programs offered for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents:
Our best asset is that we provide a very stable, quiet, friendly environment. There are not shifts of people coming in and out, or many changes which leads to confusion. There is structure and routine which can be soothing and comfortable. All activities are tailored specifically to our residents.
