    Highlights
We delight in making residents feel at home here at E. Dene Moore Care Center. Resident rooms may be decorated with personal items which promote a home-like atmosphere. At the same time, we use state-of-the-art equipment to assure safety and comfort. A screened in porch, a gazebo, and a swing in the back yard allow our residents and their families to enjoy the outdoors in comfort. And those with a green thumb may work in our summer garden area and our wheelchair accessible garden boxes. We proudly offer a variety of daily activities as well as medical, nursing and restorative services for those in our care. Our full-time Activities Department provides physical and intellectual activities to stimulate the mind, body and spirit of our residents. One-on-one activities are provided for those who are unable or do not wish to attend group programs. Activities include arts and crafts, games, learning programs, music, and group outings. We also encourage inter-generational programs by inviting local youth to visit with our residents. We encourage short-term visits to our facility to allow home care givers time to care for themselves and to accomplish tasks which are difficult to perform when providing 24-hour home care for a loved one. The State of Colorado allows up to thirty days of respite care each calendar year for Medicaid patients. E. Dene Moore is overseen by an on-site Administrator and is staffed 24-hours a day by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nurse Assistants. Nursing personnel are augmented by Restorative Aides, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists and Social Services personnel. Our resident to staff ratio consistently exceeds the state standards. A licensed Dietitian oversees our home style dining. The smell of freshly cooked food permeates the building at meal time. An on-site Beautician is available for our residents. Our caring volunteers assist with everything from visiting individually with our residents to assisting with activities, holidays and more. We are a division of the Grand River Hospital District and our residents have easy access to all District physicians and medical services. The E. Dene Moore Care Center is a resident focused long-term care facility and the home of 56 adult residents. We strive to make this a community within a community, where each individual receives the attention they need in an environment that makes them feel right at home. Our resident-focused service puts us in contact with a wealth of information and insight. We are dedicated to continually finding new ways to enhance our residents' experiences while living in our community. And we gain valuable experiences through this process as well. We revel in the opportunity to learn from our elder population, and to assist our younger residents in experiencing new and fun opportunities.
