    Highlights
    ECF has an Registered Nurse and a Respiratory Therapist in the building 24 hours per day. There is also a physician available in house 24 hours per day. ECF is attatched to the local hospital which is ideal in an emergency situation. Our residents are visited by a dietary hostess daily and have several options for every meal. We provide both long term care and short term rehabilitation. We offer a sun room, newly renovated rooms, free television and phone hook ups. We take pride in our care, at the Extended Care Facility, Care is our Middle Name.

    Diminished abilities or stage of disease that would result in a transfer or discharge:
    This is very rare. Usually all patient's with Alzheimer's Disease are cared for through the duration of their disease. However, if the resident becomes an immediate threat to himself or others, than a discharge for a psychiatric evaluation may be necessary. However, this is after careful consideration of an interdisciplinary team and after all other potential interventions have been exhausted.
    Special care programs offered for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents:
    We have an excellent activity department that offers in room, on unit, off unit, and outside of the facility activities. They also offer intellectual stimualtion programs. We also have a wander guard program to ensure the safety of our wandering residents. We have very flexible visiting hours for families.

    We offer several religious services, including Catholic Mass, The Salvation Army, Seven Day Adventist, Methodist, Baptist, etc. We also travel outside the facility for meals at local and out of town resteraunts, take boat rides, go bowling, shopping, and sight seeing.

    We attempt to cater to any resident with any special need. We do have several residents with difficulty hearing, visual impairments, veterans, all professionals, and accept residents regardless of sexuality.
