    Harbors Edge is beautiful state of the art new facility on the waterfront in downtown Norfolk, Va. We are located across the street to Eastern Virginia Medical School, Sentara Norfolk General Hosp., King's Daughter's Children's Hospital We are close to theaters, opera house, MacArthur's Mall, Waterside, Nautilus, Naval Bases, Chrysler Museum and others, ODU, beautiful parks, and many many other areas of interest. Our meals are a star five/six cuisine, which is cooked here and served in all areas of the building. Our residents get to pick their choices for each meal. We have our very own Library stocked with wonderful books and all newspapers, a state of the art Theater which is just like going out to the theater, we even serve popcorn and drinks and the residents pick the movies for the week. We have shopping trips to Williamsburg, MacArthur Mall, and any areas of interest. We offer Art Classes, flower arranging, Genealogy, Murder Mystery Theater, Scrapbook Classes, Poker Tournaments, Trivia Night, Learn Lectures at ODU Literary Festival, Norfolk Forum, Harbor Cruises, Fishing Trips out of Rudee, our events go on and on. We try to make available all that our residents are interested in including two 80 something year olds that wanted to go parasailing, we took them and now we have 8 that would like to go. We offer Bible Study classes, Bridge classes and Flower arranging. Our swimming pool is salt water developed with the Arthritis Foundation to help with joints and mobility as is our whirlpool. Our staff are handpicked, well educated, dedicated, and are caring and loving at all times. They are happy to be here to care for the residents, not stressed out and overworked. We have a lot of wine and cheese parties here. I cannot say enough about the joy of being at Harbors Edge.     Our residents decide what activities they wish to have and we provide, i.e. two 80 something year old ladies had never been parasailing so we took them parasailing. Our facility is all about "Wellness & Lifestyles". We do everything from Parasailing, Fishing Trips, History Education Trips, Virginia Opera, Virginia Symphony, and Mystery Trips for dinner and lots of Wine and Cheese parties.
