Lynn House of Potomac Valley is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), accredited Christian Science nursing and residential facility incorporated and licensed in Virginia. We serve the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area, Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Delaware, Pennsylvania and beyond. Lynn House is located on three beautiful acres within the Alexandria city limits. It is named after Mary Baker Eddy’s home in Lynn, Massachusetts. Lynn House is a haven for those relying on God for healing—a place to pray and commune with God, and be cared for by Christian Science nurses and residential assistants. Our residential assisted living program has six lovely bedrooms with private baths. There is a delightful Common Room for meals and activities with a fireplace and expansive windows looking out over beautifully maintained grounds. We are moments away from historic downtown Alexandria VA, and 15 minutes from the museums and cultural sites of Washington DC. Our rich and varied activities program offers a wide range of events and programs tailored to the needs of all of our residents, including reading aloud, drives and outings, museum visits, in-house cultural programs and one on one enrichment. We offer a range of services from light sheltering oversight to assisted living with daily support for all activities of daily living, including personal care, grooming and bathing. In another wing of the facility there is a licensed Christian Science care facility, the only licensed non-medical hospital of its kind in the Commonwealth, where skilled Christian Science nurses support those who have come to rely on God and prayer as taught in Christian Science, for healing. The services include Christian Science nursing care within the facility, outpatient care, rest and study, and a far-reaching Christian Science Visiting Nurse Service for care in the home.
