Diminished abilities or stage of disease that would result in a transfer or discharge:
At Encore Senior Village, we believe in the philosophy of aging in place. Our residents are able to stay within our community for late stage dementia issues, as long as the resident is on hospice care. We make all accomdations to keep our residents as well as their family comfortable during this process.
Special care programs offered for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents:
Encore’s Rediscovery caregiving program is founded on research indicating that Alzheimer’s residents best maintain their abilities and independence in living environments that include fewer people, are more “home-like”, and more consistent from day to day. On Encore Seniors Village campuses, residents of similar abilities live together in small group cottages, helping to avoid the anxiety, frustration and social failure that often result from excessive stimulation and mixing residents of differing ability levels.
