    Staff members complete an extensive on-site training program prior to assuming any job duties. Staff members also complete classes and workshops on care techniques for persons with Alzheimer's and other memory impairment.

    Assisted living for persons with memory impairment/dementia becomes inappropriate when a resident's behavior presents a danger to him/herself or others. This could include the inability to bear weight, uncontrollable falls, and/or agitation/aggression that does not respond to interventions.
    Special care programs offered for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents:
    Residents in our Cottage section receive specialized care and services tailored to meet individual needs. The Cottage section offers the option of environmental security in the comfort of a small home-like setting.
