Portland Center is located on the outskirts of in- town Portland Maine. Only minutes away if you want to shop, attend the movies, theater, or dine in one of the many fine restaurants in the Old Port section of the city, yet out of the city far enough to enjoy a quiet time with a book and cool drink in our beautiful courtyard. Our activity department has a very full calendar from shopping trips, to entertainment, outside gardening, cooking. Always changing, the program is guided by resident interests and requests.

    Portland Center's staff have the required training and credentials to meet the needs of the residents and the state regulations. A training and in-service calendar is prepared and posted monthly for trainings, some of which may be mandatory as required.

    Therapeutic Activites such as exercise, cooking, gardening, trivia, sensory enhancement, reminiscing, games, dancing,field trips. We have pet therapy as well as spiritual programs.
