    Our facility is located in a small community. There is access to public transportation, this transportation does go to the local Malls', Wal-Mart, Hospitals, etc. Also, there is a library and historical museum nearby. Ohio University Southern Campus is our local higher education facility. Each year at memorial day, the longest running parade passes by our facility and we provide a wonderful cook-out for residents', family and friends. We provide assistance with community resources. Our local pharmacy does pick-up and deliver medication and if the Physician is cooperative medication are put into a weekly medication box and kept in a locked storage area. Our staff is responsible for the supervision of medicaitons, which includes making certain that each person is reminded and supervised with their medications. We do provide facilities for smoking, however, smoking is prohibited in the home itself. Our staff is very involved with the residents, they provide assistance with activities of daily living and coordinate activities that are of interest to the residents' along with transportation to and from those activities. We are not medical personnel however, we do assist with Dr. appointment's and send our residents to the local hospital upon necessity. Meals are prepared and served in a family style setting. Meals are home style. This home takes pride in the environment of its' residents and feel that we provide quality care for individuals that want to maintain independence, yet need a little help and assistance.

    Staff certifications and training:
    The administrator is a Licensed Social Worker. We have experience in providing services to persons of all ages and sex. We have provided these services since 1986. This is a group living arrangement and most individuals with have at least 1 roommate. There is someone available on staff 24hr. Staff is required to obtain 6 hrs of certified training yearly and Administration must obtain 12 hrs of training yearly. All persons are screen for background and must have 1 st aide training. We provide supervision, support and try to maintain the independence of all residence according to that persons abilities.
