    Harbor House has been providing dementia care for over two decades. We are Nationally known for our outstanding service and dedication to those living with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. When a loved one comes to Harbor House it becomes their home and they and their loved ones are treated like family. Due to our size and location, we are able to provide individualized care in a quiet, secure setting. In addition, we are known in our community for our success in working with a variety of behaviors that tend to occur in those living with Alzheimer's disease. Lastly, because of this success and the fact that our home can provide end-of-life or Hospice care right at our facility, when people come to Harbor House they never have to leave. They are truly home!

    All Team Members are specially trained in dementia and Alzheimer's disease through Harbor's Safe Harbor Program. In addition, Team Members receive monthly trainings on proper care techniques and educational information related to dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

    When people enter the Harbor family, they would only need to leave if they were in need of some type of medical device that we or our Hospice service were unable to provide.

    Harbor House is known for our outstanding Life Enrichment Program, which includes activities that stimulate the mind, body and soul. We are known for our innovative Life Story Book and Reminisce Basket Program and taylor each day's activities to the wants and needs of our residents.

    At Harbor House our residents are put of a volunteer group called the Silver Angels that get together each month to tie blankets for soldiers overseas and children in the local hospital. They also attend a monthly event called Joy Day are developing an in-house bowling league.
