Based on our belief that our residents are unique individuals with varied needs, Avalon Assisted Living has accommodations that are designed to offer a flexible menu of services and staffing levels. After an initial assessment by qualified Avalon Staff, we work closely with each resident and their family to develop a customized service plan that provides the support necessary to maintain an optimal level of independence and safety while meeting each resident’s individual needs. Avalon’s flexible accommodations and levels of care are helpful when a higher level of care is needed than that of our Senior Apartments. Our CBRF then provides a comfortable homelike setting where supportive care is provided. Caregivers offer assistance with transfers, personal cares, bathing, dressing, meals, medications, housekeeping and laundry. CBRF (Avalon Cottages) each wheelchair accessible cottage is set up with 8 private rooms clustered around a central great room and dining room. Each private room has its own call system, temperature controls, and cable TV. Furnished rooms are available, or residents may personalize rooms with their own possessions. Just outside the door of each cottage are patios with raised flower gardens and perennial plantings. A variety of activities offer opportunity for socializing and entertainment. Music, crafts, exercise, storytelling, cards, and games are just a few of the many stimulating activities offered at Avalon. Memory Care/Dementia (Avalon Gardens) Our serene setting, specially designed activities program and compassionate care offer our Memory Care residents a secure and comfortable home while providing their families peace of mind. Our caregivers receive training in Alzheimer’s and Dementia care. Assistance with medication management, meals, personal cares including bathing and dressing, transfers, laundry and housekeeping are provided in a manner that helps reduce anxiety and frustration. Each secure cottage has eight private rooms that open into common living areas. This design offers reassurance to memory care residents who can move about freely with staff nearby. We offer a calming, accepting environment designed to reduce stress and enhance the management of challenging behaviors. Respite Care Avalon offers respite care including medication management, meals, personal cares, activities, a private room and use of common areas for a daily rate of $120. A 3 day minimum stay is required. Stays must be limited to 28 consecutive days. End of Life Care Avalon Assisted Living Community, in collaboration with Hospice Care, Inc., provides concerned care for seniors who are facing the challenges of life-ending illnesses. We work closely with residents and their families to offer compassion and comfort during this time.
