    Jordan House gives excellent care to elderly residents with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Staff completed two year program at MCC and majored in Germtology—on Dean’s list—also has been working in health care over 20 years. We are a family home and live onsite. We have an abundant amount of patience, compassion, and love for all residents. We are near major supermarkets, malls, medical center, and pharmacy. Mental and physical stimulating activities are encouraged.

    Eligibility requirements:
    Month to month due first of the month. 30 day notice of termination of contract. Private room $2,100 monthly, semi-private room $1,900 monthly. Private pay and state aid pay with amount granted. Must be ambulatory; no wheelchairs, walker or assistance of caregiver.

    Although a family AFC does not require formal training, but accepts experience in care giving for declining elders, I have completed two years at Mott Community College and majored in Health Occupation, in the subject of Germtology. Also CPR and advanced first aid. Twenty plus years of in-home care and I also worked in nursing homes and the geriatric floor of a hospital.

    Special care programs offered for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents:
    In addition to providing compassionate care, I encourage residents to play cards, puzzles, arts and crafts, to stimulate memory. We use large print calendars and reading material and read to them and talk about current events. We assist with toileting and encourage self help to the best of their abilities. We also encourage physical exercise as tolerated.
