Golden Age, like its sister home, Golden Age Retirement Home in Gaithersburg, MD (established in 1998) is best known for its high quality of care given to each and every Resident. Located in the City of Bowie, halfway between the DC beltway and Annapolis, puts the facility in a place that attacks from all directions. Being a residential home, the resident comes to feel they are in their own home environment. The Caregivers have years of experience and a special compassion that make them love the work. The owners live within minutes of the facility, so they are hands- on at all times. The property has a large yard that attacks a large variety of birds. Garden areas are available for resident use or just for outside activities. Across the street from the home is an historic 17th century Mansion that has activities year round that our residents can attend. Golden Age Assisted Living is special since the same management has a Medical Adult Day Care program within five minutes of the home at Avalon. The location of this home in the City of Bowie allows the residents and their families to take advantage of all that Bowie has to offer. Another project of the management is a community offered ballroom dance program- open to all ages- it adds a little intergenerational activity for families, caregivers, and just anyone who likes to dance or listen to the Big Band music of earlier times.
