    The philosophy of Mount Ida Rest Home is to provide individualized support to each resident with the professional and personal care that ensures the highest level of independence and active participation. Mount Ida is a beautiful, large Victorian style home, located in a quiet neighborhood of Newton, MA. Close to public transportation, parks, restaurants, shops and community activities, Mount Ida offers the perfect setting for seniors ranging in age from 60 to 80 years, who are in need of permanent or temporary assisted living, respite care or convalescence. Mount Ida is located close to Route 128, Route 9 and the Mass Pike, with off street parking, making it accessible to friends and family members. Mount Ida offers 18 comfortable beds, deliciously prepared home-style meals, housekeeping, and assistance with bathing, dressing and administering medications. Our trained nursing and expert social services staff provide regular wellness checks on residents; physician visits are monthly and on an as-needed basis. In addition, we provide trips to medical appointments, special events, scenic sites and shopping. Daily planned activities allow residents to enjoy each other’s company and those of friends and visitors. If needed, rehabilitation, respite and long term care are provided.
