    Calco's is dedicated to serving Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care. Our facility is in the country where it’s beautiful and quiet, no constant traffic. Calco's is surrounded by tall trees to keep us private, but in a great community. Calco's has dedicated staff that loves their jobs, and love working with seniors. Calco's has special nights where different speakers will come in and talk about safety, cooking, hygiene, and any subject that should or needs to be discussed, also Calco's has art class just to let the residents remember how making something makes them smile. We provide a range of care, depending on the care the resident needs, we will do what we can for them.

    Staff certifications and training:
    We require our staff to be licensed through the Maryland Board of Nursing and they are CPR trained and certified, and they are also Certified Medical Techs. We require that the staff stay current with their certifications and licenses. We provide training for our staff to build on the skills and make sure they are up to date on Maryland Board of Nursing qualifications.

    I would say it would have to be a severe case where they have loss of memory completely and losing or loss of speech and can no longer take care of them with assistance and need full care.
    Special care programs offered for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents:
    We will provide transportation to any of the programs the families or care providers would like them to attend. We do not provide special programs at our facility but are more than happy to take them to a program or have someone come in to see them.
