    The Bridge at Alamosa, Independent and Assisted Living, located just outside Alamosa in a quiet, easily-accessible corner of prairie behind the Wal-Mart Super Store, offers a wide variety of services, health care and activities as well as comfortable living environments anyone would be proud to be a part of. We offer several private studio, one-bedroom plans and two-bedroom apartments with beautiful views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range, a lavish nearby lake, and our elegantly landscaped courtyards and outdoor patios. Meals are served in the facility's elegant dining rooms three times daily and every Friday we have our famous Friday Night Socials, complete with live music, all-you-can-eat buffet-style dining, and a delectable wine list. Bring the whole family, visitors are always welcome. During temporary illness, meals may be served in residents' rooms. Guest meal tickets may be purchases from our receptionist, otherwise guest pay $5.00 per meal. Telephone, television and internet jacks are available in each apartment for a flat rate of $45.00 a month, which includes unlimited long distance calls anywhere in the United States. We also have a high-tech computer lab with instruction and scheduled classes on Internet-use and basic Word-Processing. Medication management by a certified medication administrative staff is available for those who require assistance in that part of daily living. Outings, activities and special events are always encouraged. To ensure safety, all residents are asked to sign in and out of the facility at the reception desk, which transportation is provided by The Bridge for scheduled shopping trips, sightseeing tours and other out-and-about activities. Transportation is also available for medical appointments within the San Luis Valley. Activities are provided for residents every day. Calenders of events are posted and are available on a monthly basis. Senior Life Programming is a big part of everyday life at the Bridge at Alamosa. People are encouraged to join the various clubs, groups and organizations which are available. Day-to-day "chores" and "work" will also be available for people to do. Examples include setting tables, making name tags, yard work, answering phones. etc. Dance classes, computer classes, woodworking, sewing, water aerobics, etc. will be available at different times for people to enjoy. The Bridge at Alalmosa offers three basic stages of care. Services include (as needed), but are not limited to the following: State One offers three meals daily, daily towels (provided) and "touch-up" housekeeping service, housekeeping services, personal laundry service, weekly linen service (sheets and pillowcases are provided for twin-size beds), 24-hour in-house staffing, emergency call system, Riverwords Wellness Program (exercise, health and fitness), social and recreational activities, licensed nursing coverage daily and on-call, local SLV transportation for The Bridge, scheduled activities and physician appointments, and medical health management. Stage Two includes all of the services offered in Stage One, plus, if needed, medication administration, management of other health issues (diabetes, etc.) within the scope of Assisted Living, and verbal reminders/minor re-direction. Stage Three offers all of the services available in Stages One and Two, plus, if needed, assistance with bathing, dressing and transfers, more frequent laundry service and/or bathroom cleaning, assistance with continence management, frequent call-light assistance, and re-direction.

    Staff certifications and training:
    The Bridge at Alamosa provides a 24-hour emergency response system, which is monitored closely by an on-site staff. Staff is medication, first aid and CPR certified, of which they recieve the latest in CPR and first aid training on a yearly basis.
