    Alcor Guest Home Inc. II is an upscale facility with flat screen TVs with cable in each room, 7, 000 square feet of landscaped backyard, and a 2,007 square foot home. Lighting is all Rapodimonte Italian-made. The purpose of Alcor Guest Home II is to provide a comfortable, caring and home-like facility for older adults. We offer an array of activities which will enhance or maintain the current agility and mobility of our residents. Menus are prepared by a registered dietician and change every week according to seasons.

    Alcor Guest Home Inc. II does not charge a pre-admission fee. Monthly board and lodging payment is based on type of care. Asking payment is negotiable. Payment will not be discussed on telephone.

    Staff certifications and training:
    Upon hire, all care staff shall receive six hours of orientation specific to the care of residents with dementia. Within the first 4 weeks of employment this training shall include: dementia care, identifying and reporting resident abuse and neglect, knowledge of hydration, skin care, communication, therapeutic activities, behavioral challenges, assisting with activities of daily living. Orientation may include up to 2 hours of mentoring and hands-on training from a trained administrator. Ongoing staff training as follows: minimum 4 hours training related to geriatric care each year and 8 hours of in-service training on subjects servicing residents with dementia within 12 months of working and each succeeding 12 month period.

    Alcor Guest Home employs an adequate number of direct care staff to support each resident’s physical, social, emotional, safety and health care needs. Out activity program addresses the needs and limitations of residents with dementia and includes large motor activities and perceptual, sensory stimulation, cognitive, and physical activities such as games and exercises that develop and maintain strength coordination and rage of motion; available activities will be appropriate for the level of dementia and each resident.
