The first thing people notice when they enter our lobby is our dramatic floor to ceiling fireplace. The second thing they notice is our Rehabilitation Gym located just off the lobby. We have over 5,000 square feet of dedicated rehabilitation space including a therapy courtyard, putting green and transitional room. Physical, occupational & speech therapy is offered seven days a week, and our staff is trained to help our residents regain their independence. Our Pebble Beach wing is the right place for residents who require long term care. Our nursing team of RNs and LVNs is well experienced in providing for the medical and social needs of our residents. Located just north of the Prestonwood Baptist Church, Prestonwood Rehabilition and Nursing Center is the ideal place to recover after hospitalization or to receive expert long term care.

Diminished abilities or stage of disease that would result in a transfer or discharge:
Prestonwood Rehabilitation & Nursing Center specializes in helping seniors who need rehabilitation after a hospitalization or who need long term nursing care because of their medical conditions. A person with dementia who was agressive, rummaging through other resident's drawers, or who may be a danger to other residents would not be appropriate at our community. Generally we help those whose medical needs outweigh their dementia needs.
Special care programs offered for Alzheimer's and Dementia residents:
We have a Wander Guard system to reduce the risk of a resident leaving the building unsafely. We use chair/bed alarms and low beds to decrease the risk of falls.
