    About My Business
Golden Moments opened in 2008. Our web page is We typically fill our spaces fast, due to the personal care, attention to details, fun activities, and loving staff. Golden Moments inspiration comes from the owner's care of her mother for the past 12 years. A 'Golden Moment' could also be referred to as an "A-Ha Moment", when a resident has a hearty laugh with staff, says something profound, completes a task encouraged, expresses grattitude to staff for their care, etc. These Golden Moments are cherished and celebrated on a daily basis. We love what we do and especially care about the overall wellbeing of each of our residents. Participation in all activities is warmly encouraged, and we utilize many different approaches to accommodate a resident. In the past, we have gone fishing, to Railroad Museum, out to lunch, and to the mall. All residents go outside for sunshine and fresh air twice daily depending on weather.
Conditions I Am Unable To Treat
We are a dementia care provider, While we prefer a non-combative resident, we have been able to accept some that are deemed combative, just depends on the severity / medications, and close communications with primary care physicians. And depending on if this is a temporary or chronic condition. Sometimes it all comes down to figuring out the best approach for care. Staff is trained in multiple approaches to achieve the best possible outcome for resident and staff safety.
    Experience And Credentials
I have over 14 years of elder dementia care experience. the early years from caring for both my parents. and now for the past five years caring for my beloved residents. I travel with residents to medical/dental appts, and provide research and advocate for additional services or diagnostics needed for continued care and quality of life. Always going with resident to Emergency Dept. when the need arises, to advocate, provide comfort and a complete medical history on behalf of resident and families. ER departments love us, because we are there to assist and advocate. I'm always told that no other facility provides this service. Additionally, in my capacity as a family caregiver for both parents, I have acted as a facility for a local Alzheimers support group to assist families with learning new approached and finding the joy and humor in their individual caregiving journey.
