    Harmony House Assisted Living, LLC is located 20 miles south of Washington, DC and is owned and operated by a licensed independent clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience. Harmony House Assisted Living, LLC provides an array of in-home support services necessary to maintain a senior in their own home as well as a 24 hour supervised residential facility which is located in a quiet neighborhood and will house a maximum of 5 residents. We have shared and private rooms and licensed for level III seniors. Our in-home support services include supervision and/or safety checks, meal preparation, medication reminder, shopping, errands, doctor appointments and laundry and are customed to meet the needs of the senior to support their effort to remain independent. Our goal is to ensure that the clients receive the assistance that is needed to support their life style. In the residential setting, we will mix aspects of wellness to include physical, emotional, social, spiritual and intellectual into our everyday life. We have a topic of the month that establishes a theme for educational programs and activities and have visiting recreational and art therapists; health professionals and a pianist to periodically enhance our lives. We facilitate a host of groups and activities daily in the facility, that are stimulating and fun for the residents to include bingo, games and puzzles, exercising and gardening in new and established beds. We have community outings to libraries,museums, malls/ shopping centers, and churches, financial institutions. Our meals are created by a licensed dietician and are made from fresh and healthy ingredients who is part of our visiting staff that provide educational sessions. We also render respite care to family members for short periods of time if beds are available.

    Staff certifications and training:
    Administrator is a master's prepared licensed social worker with over 30 years of experience. Contract Nurse and staff have met all of the requirement training to meet standards for Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Training includes teaching skills and proficiencies in CPR, First Aid, Alzheimer/Dementia, Medication Administration, Fire Safety, Food handling, Infection Control, Mental Health. Core training is mandated every year in addition to 6 hours of continuing education.
